Jonathan Summers is a seasoned law enforcement professional with 15 years of service in the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office. Throughout his career, he has worked in multiple roles, including at the Yamhill County Correctional Facility, rural patrol, and as the city contract deputy for both Dayton and Amity. Jonathan's dedication to his community extends beyond his work in law enforcement. A 30-year resident of Yamhill County, he is deeply committed to his family and his community.
Married for 21 years to his wife, Lacey Summers, Jonathan is the proud father of three children. He holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and has actively contributed to mental health awareness in law enforcement by serving as the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) lead deputy. In this role, Jonathan organized numerous training sessions to help first responders assist citizens in crisis and those facing mental health challenges.
After his law enforcement career, Jonathan transitioned into a new role as a licensed general contractor with Summers NW Construction, continuing to serve his community in a different capacity. Outside of work, he is highly active in his local church and enjoys coaching sports. In 2023, he served as the Head Football Coach for Patton Middle School’s 7th-grade team, and in 2024, continued with the 8th-grade team. Jonathan has also spent the past three years coaching his youngest daughter’s softball team, further cementing his role as a supportive mentor and coach in the lives of young people in Yamhill County.
Through his career, his dedication to his family, and his community involvement, Jonathan Summers has made a lasting impact on Yamhill County, demonstrating leadership, service, and a commitment to making a positive difference.
Jonathan is honored to contribute to the foundation’s mission of caring for the body, mind, and heart of those who serve and their families.
